RichWave specializes in chip design. Its products are sold worldwide and used in a diverse array of wireless communication products. The company is dedicated to the R&D of energy-efficient and carbon- reducing products that have minimal impact on the environment. Moreover, the company strives to increase its product competitiveness by improving product performance. This is achieved via lowering power consumption, minimum usable design, and changing production processes, thereby realizing the goal of energy conservation, carbon reduction, and eco-friendliness.
RF front-end modules for mobile communication products offer a variety of high, medium, and low power options for handheld devices, and exhibit extremely low standby power consumption in special modes. The products are currently in the development and verification stage. Energy-saving benefits are calculated based on design simulations and estimated usage scenarios. In special modes, power consumption across various product models is only 25% to 87% of that in normal mode. During transmission, efficiency mode maintains transmission performance similar to normal mode while consuming only 28% to 66% of the power. This design not only extends battery life and effectively lowers overall energy consumption, but also helps minimize battery pollution.
The current consumption or efficiency indicators of RF front-end module chips are closely related to investments in system-level thermal management. The energy efficiency of RF front-end chips has become a key indicator of the R&D capabilities of RF front-end chip design companies. Combining nonlinear RF front-end chips with the main chip's digital pre-distortion (DPD) algorithm represents a low-power, high-efficiency product solution. It also serves as a product blueprint for domestic and international Wi-Fi 7 brand manufacturers aiming to enhance ESG quality.
In 2024, RF front-end modules for Wi-Fi 7 applications evolved from linear to nonlinear designs. Under high-power operation, nonlinear modules reduced current consumption by 30% at 2.4GHz, 25% at 5GHz, and 10% at 6GHz compared to linear modules. In 2025, the market share of Wi-Fi 7 nonlinear RF front-end modules in the network communications field continued to increase. RichWave's total shipments of 2.4GHz and 5GHz nonlinear RF front-end modules reached 20 million units, while 6GHz products reached seven million units. It is estimated that about 30% of Wi-Fi 7 routers adopted nonlinear RF front-end modules in 2025. Overall product power consumption can be reduced by approximately 25% compared to routers using traditional linear front-end RF modules.
The Company focuses on design and process innovation as its R&D priority. Through precise control of chip area and process innovation, it has not only significantly increased the yield of bare dies per wafer but also effectively reduced GHG emissions per die by approximately 60%. Taking the mid-power 2.4GHz and 5GHz RF front-end modules in Wi-Fi 6 as an example, total chip shipments in 2025 reached 5.5 million units. Based on the 2024 Electricity Carbon Emission Factor of 0.474kg CO2e/kWh announced by the Energy Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), these RF front-end modules reduced emissions by 29.71 metric tons in 2025, with an estimated reduction of 42.31 metric tons in 2026.
Tablet and smartphone products utilize special standby and efficient transmission modes to successfully reduce overall power consumption. The relevant technology has been applied to numerous projects and has been shipped. Based on estimated 2025 shipments, assuming 12 hours of standby mode and 12 hours of transmission mode per day, electricity consumption can be reduced by approximately 16.36 million kWh. Based on the 2024 Electricity Carbon Emission of 0.474kg CO2e/kWh announced by the Energy Administration, MOEA, emissions are expected to be reduced by 7,755 metric tons.

We continue to optimize the energy-saving design of this product lineup. The average current consumption of the 8-10GHz ultra-wideband (UWB) microwave radar has been significantly reduced from 110mA in 2022 to 1.9mA in 2024, and was further optimized to 0.95mA in 2025, representing a 51% reduction compared to the 2024 specifications. This measure has significantly increased the product’s energy-saving benefits, and it has been widely applied to field such as smart homes, smart lighting, surveillance systems, and dashcams.

This RF switch path is composed of two series-connected groups: the first group comprises a plurality of first transistors, and the second group comprises a plurality of second transistors. The control terminals of the first transistors are commonly connected to the first control node. The control terminal of the second transistor is commonly connected to the second control node. When an ESD event occurs, the voltages at the two control nodes will differ. In normal operation, the switch states of the two series- connected groups remain consistent.
RichWave's new generation of Wi-Fi 7 non-linear RF front-end module series features QFN 3mm x 3mm and 3mm x 5mm packages, with products for the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands being mass-produced successively. Utilizing nonlinear technology to achieve optimal power amplifier conversion efficiency. Coupled with DPD algorithms on various main chipset platforms, it maintains linearity while reducing power consumption by 20~30%. While achieving high throughput and simultaneous tri-band transmission in Wi-Fi 7, our products maintain system power consumption and heat dissipation levels that are consistent with, or even lower than, those of Wi-Fi 6. Additionally, they feature a low EVM floor design for both long and short packets, along with an excellent noise figure of less than 2 dB, enhancing end- customer sensitivity requirements for high-speed, short-range and low-speed, long-range applications. The Wi-Fi 7 RFIC has been certified by major main chip platforms and adopted by global telecom carriers, operators, networking vendors, and channel brands. Between 2023 and 2025, cumulative shipments exceeded 91 million units.
